Athleta’s Fit Style Page: Fusing Fitness and Fashion

You know those women who always look so put together, even at the gym? The ladies who somehow shift their workout wear to appropriate grocery shopping and even work attire? I know, it’s frustrating. You feel like you couldn’t possibly ever look quite as put together. But you can. And Athleta will show you how.

This February, Athleta and Tidal Labs launched Fit Style, a collaboration
with bloggers that showcases the fusion of fitness and fashion. So far, nineteen
health-minded style bloggers have posted and shared their favorite workout-workday outfits to inspire, educate and collaborate with fellow hard-working ladies. “Exercise has always been a challenge for me, but you know what makes it easier? Cute workout clothes! You know what’s even better? Cute workout clothes that can also be worn as regular clothes!” contributor Jenny Winward wrote, alongside images of her in a cactus-shade Athleta Shiva top and black Straight Up pants, later paired with black Kohls boots, a SheInside jacket, knit ASOS hat, Kate Spade bag, and American Eagle necklace as the exercise to street-style transition.

“So far we’ve had really positive feedback on Fit Style,” Michelle Bushneff,
Social Media lead at Athleta told us. “Our customers love seeing how other
women wear our products—it helps them envision how to put together an outfit that
suits their workout and personal style. The Fit Style category is something
fresh for our blog readers, and it’s relevant to their busy lives.”

Though Athleta’s blog is known as a platform for contributors with a diverse
range of fitness and wellness expertise, they’re excited to expand the
community with new contributors and new content that resonates with readers. “It’s
been a great experience for me and my readers to be part of the Fit Style with
Athleta!” Jane Song, a mom and fashion blogger who goes
by FitFabFunMom told Tidal. “I hope you can keep this wonderful program going,
as real people better promote/engage than professional models,” she noted.

Fit Style is showing women how to mix and match Athleta’s performance
apparel with the staples already in their closets, and doing so with the
fabulous creations of Tidal’s 30,000 strong blogger network. The posts have
facilitated engagement with readers who are looking for style ideas and fresh
content. Stay tuned for Athleta and Tidal to partner on more programs with a range of
contributors in the future. We’re excited to continue being a part of this
inspiring brand!
