Tidal Thanksgiving Blog Post Roundup

The holiday season is upon us already. As we get closer to Thanksgiving, many of us are planning our travels and family get togethers. This week, we browsed our database of food bloggers in search of some Thanksgiving inspiration and found a bountiful number of delicious recipes, perfect to share with your friends and family this year. Take a look at some of the great recipes and ideas we found!

First, let’s set the table.

Julie Blanner
Julie Blanner showed us 12 different ways to set the table for Thanksgiving. She brought together beautiful fall foliage, fruits, and flowers to create these different arrangements. Check out her full post, 12 Thanksgiving Table Settings, for more beautiful ideas.

Getting Started

To start off the holiday meal we found the perfect fall soup: Curried Squash with Whipped Yogurt. This blend of flavors sounds like the perfect way to kickoff a holiday meal. Laurie shows us how to create this soup in no time on her blog CrunchyGooey.

The Main Event

Living Lou
Let’s talk turkey! We loved Louisa’s take on the classic turkey recipe. Her recipe allows you to free-up some oven space by cooking your turkey in a slow cooker. She also stuffs sage leaves under the skin of the turkey for maximum flavor in every bite! For the full recipe check out the post on Living Lou.

Harvest Sides

Foxes Love Lemons
Lori created the perfect addition to anyone’s holiday meal. Her Autumn Celebration Rice Salad has us feeling hungry! The recipe combines great fall ingredients like swiss chard, butternut squash, and pomegranate. Get the recipe on her blog Foxes Love Lemons.

A Healthy Life For Me
For an easy and healthy side dish, look no further than Amy’s blog A Healthy Life For Me. She created a recipe for Maple Sesame Roasted Brussels Sprouts. They’re both sweet and nutty in flavor and sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Katerina created another great vegetable side dish we want to try. Her recipe for Garlic Butter Roasted Carrots is another easy and delicious dish you must add to your menu. You can whip up this dish in just 35 minutes too! Check out the recipe on her blog Diethood.

Well Plated
Don’t worry, we didn’t forget the stuffing! Erin shares her step-dad’s recipe for Rosemary Bacon Mushroom Stuffing on her blog Well Plated. We love the idea of sharing family recipes with each other and can’t wait to try Erin’s!

There’s always room for dessert!

La Fuji Mama
The perfect dessert for any Thanksgiving is pie, of course! Rachael and her friends share four pie recipes with us on her blog, La Fuji Mama. The recipes include a Streusel Pumpkin Pie, an Almond Butter Pie, a Chocolate Silk Pie, and her own Gingerbread Chess Pie. I think we might have to bake them all!

Hello Little Home
Hello Little Home author, Ginnie, shares an adorable bite sized dessert recipe. Her Mini Pumpkin Pies with Cinnamon Cheesecake Topping combine all of our favorite fall flavors. At such a small size, you can enjoy more than one.

Tastes of Lizzy T’s
Lastly, for some good family fun check out Tastes of Lizzy T’s. This family run blog shares their Turkey Cookies for Thanksgiving.  We hope ours will turn out just as cute!
